I first went to Hagen in 1965 to survey the Mt Hagen Bayer River road.
Then again in 1969, when I joined Lands Department.
Then off to Lae and Wau and back to Hagen in about ’75.
I played golf on the town course, played squash at the country club and went trout fishing.
We went finish in December 1978.
I often wonder how the tea and coffee plantations are going.
Is the Lands Department building still there? I could not pick it out in the photos or video.
We enjoyed our time in PNG.

Thanks for the memories, Bob. The tea and coffee industries are still around, although many of the grear plantations are no more. I’m not sure where Lands Department used to be.
