APRIL 9 2022
Early in the morning of Saturday, April 2, 2022, as remote Maramuni in Enga is still waking up, I send my drone up to capture the breathtaking scenery.
The drone flies over the steep Maramuni Airstrip, which tests even the most-experienced Papua New Guinea bush pilots, over the gorge through which the Maramuni River flows on its way to joining the mighty Sepik River.
Maramuni has this frontier feeling, a place waiting to be discovered, one of the last unknowns of Papua New Guinea.
